Loki ... is forever confused with Darcy because he spends too much time trying to figure out what she's saying than figuring out what's up with her. That being said, Loki adores Darcy in his own way. He's never been able to confide in her because of her connections to Jane Foster and his own angry feelings for Jane Foster, so that was a wrench in their friendship, but Loki considers Darcy to be one of his own and he'll annihilate anyone who hurt her. And he does admire her tenacity and ability to stay the same, never letting anything really get to her. It's something he wished he had, even now.
