[OOC] Question Meme

So Loki hit 10k like ... ages ago. Therefore, let's have a question meme.
It goes LIKE SO. You comment here and ASK A QUESTION. It can be anything - OOC, IC, relationship, psychology, thoughts, whatever. I.E. my character's opinion of your character, or maybe some specific behaviour you've been wondering about, or general thoughts on my characters or canons, etc. Also I can pimp my canon at you like nobody's business.
WHEN I REPLY I will also ask you a question in turn!
In this way we talk at each other, which is fun.
Can also apply to Sun-Woo

River and Loki had the most hilarious bad start ever. He didn't trust her, he didn't like her, he didn't like her priorities and more importantly, she was connected to the Doctor and Loki hated him. So he was defensive and angry without any real reason to be, but he always felt undermined by her and the Doctor.
This changed when River handed leadership over him which confused him a lot. No matter what he might say or do to gain power, it's never been handed to him just like that. It usually has a price, so again, Loki was very >E about the whole thing, even if he accepted. And slowly he realized that she wasn't going to hold it over him, or demand anything from him, Loki warmed up to her. He'll never be as comfortable with River as he is with Cassie and Darcy, but River is Iota and Loki will defend her til kingdom come, no matter what he might think of her methods. And he is slightly comforted by her being around because while he doesn't always believe it, he does trust River.

Asking him to be leader of Iota was a move she made partially with the exact purpose of winning his trust a bit. But the other part was to demonstrate to him that he can be trusted with responsibility. She figured it was a largely symbolic gesture so he couldn't screw it up too much even if he tried, but she did believe that he wouldn't try.
Anyway on a fundamental level she just doesn't get him. She wants him to be happy, and she's completely certain that he can reform and be happy, but she doesn't really understand the reasons why he doesn't just do it already like she did. It seems super obvious to her! Be with your boyfriend, do things you enjoy, live your life! Most of his motivations for making bad choices are not really things she feels or understands very well \o_o/ but she'll continue trying to understand it.
She's much more willing to poke at his issues and at him now that they're in WS because it's a much more relaxed setting. In EC she spent the whole time trying to gain and cement his trust in her for the sake of improving their chances of all getting out alive. Now she can afford to piss him off if it comes to that.
Is he really gonna come visit her in the 52nd century or is she going to have to track him down for visits?

Unlike Cassie and Loki who are on equal footing (Loki spends the better half of his life being vaguely terrified whenever Cassie is angry :x), Loki is well aware that Jean looks up to him and sees him as a adult figure (he doesn't quite get why but he doesn't think about it either). Loki's particularly weak to children because he knows he can't judge them on the same level as an adult. So he's been pretty honest with her from the get-go, even if he wanted to use her situation to prove mortals suck!! So her loyalty towards him is very mind-boggling and not making much sense to Loki. For Loki, Cassie's affections were easier to understand because he could tell she was projecting. With Jean, he has zero ideas why she wants to stay with him??
But Loki likes Jean. He's not as fiercely protective of her as he would be with Iota, but he is protective enough to know that she's still young and she will get in over her head.

She's not entirely sure herself why she wants to like him and trust him, especially knowing all the terrible things he does and sometimes will do. It's a thing that's going to bug her from time to time but she's comfortable. She likes him. She wants to stay with him. That ought to be enough. '-' Even if she's going to feel extremely inadequate with Cassie around now.
uhm does Sun-Woo have any thoughts on Coulson?

Anyway, he's definitely going to stumble over himself when he's with Sun-woo a bit and smile more often and generally be nicer so there's... that. He genuinely likes him though, love feelings aside :|a
I don't know what to ask. who else are you apping here?

You?

This is the only thing I'll ask because I don't actually go to this school.

Well, Loki still feels the only reason Thor ever came after him was misguided loyalty and affection. While his anger and rage over Thor has died down a fair bit, the hurt and bitterness still remains and he refuses to talk about Thor to anyone, even Spock. The subject of Thor is still very personal to him. The truth is, Loki doesn't know how he feels about Thor, where he stands with him and whether a brother in name is enough. Ultimately, he's not enough to be Thor's brother, no matter what he says. He has nothing to show for it, he has no success, he's won no fight, he is a terrible Asguardian. And that still rankles deep.
So Loki's feelings on Thor are complicated. Love, hate, anger, hurt and the constant itch that now Thor got him to Asgard and justice, he's been forgotten.

UM I dunno if anything's really changed since last time except them being more ... perhaps "clingy" is the appropriate word. How is Loki feeling about my Captain and/or some of his ~advice~ :>
Re: ~
Loki has mixed opinions on Kirk. On one hand, he doesn't like the idea of a ~bond~ between him and Spock, it deeply sets him on edge because he doesn't really have any bonds. All his bonds were forged, but they don't overcome time and space and alternate realities. So that disturbs him a lot, even if he won't admit it.
But he's also ... vaguely happy he gets to talk to him? He just isn't sure what to think of their interactions yet, but he's a friend and Loki is sort of pleased by the idea of that. He doubts Kirk and himself would ever have positive interactions, but he would intercede for Kirk and protect him if necessary.
On his own feelings about Kirk, he's just very wary of him. His advice is plain weird and Loki doesn't care much for it.
How does Spock feel about Kirk being here?
Re: ~
So with the complicated and somewhat strained relationship as a base, having Jim here in WS is both a relief and kind of a pain. Relief since he's not the only one from his universe anymore, someone to bounce ideas off of and someone who gets what he's talking about (see before-mentioned finishing each other's sentences). It becomes strained when Jim is so obviously aware of Spock's personal/love life. It was one thing to have it in a report and vaguely hinted at from Jim's proddings on the ship, but it's another thing entirely for Jim to be talking to face-to-face Loki. He feels ... exposed and vulnerable, especially when Jim makes light of his relationship or teases him about it, and sometimes even angry though he keeps it pretty well buried. And he will never, ever admit that he took some of Jim's love advice and even kind of liked it. Everrrr.
... speaking of that, Loki's thoughts on Spock liking his female form, or if he wants Spock to be more, uh, dominant?
Re: ~
On the dominant thing, well, Loki is a needy person. So Spock being dominant is Spock needing Loki and he thrives on that sentiment. Being a God and considering the hiccups in his life, the idea of surrendering power is still a scary thing for him, but with Spock, it's okay, so he can be needy and demand affection. It's a sign of certainty for him, that Spock still wants him and Loki wouldn't give up an inch of that.
People Spock would like to see at WS.
Re: ~
What does Loki imagine he'll be doing to help rebuild New York once he gets there?

Re: ~
Spock/Loki songs.
Re: ~
I actually don't have any songs for them together, just separate playlists. Spock's is a classical music playlist because I can imagine him listening to it on or off meditation. I also have some music that I use for yoga that I imagine him using too. Loki's playlist (most of which you already know) includes:
- "Always Gold" by Radical Face
- "Evil Has Never" by Union of Knives
- "Glittering Cloud (The Plague of Locusts)" by Imogen Heap
- "Mordred's Lullaby" by Heather Dale
- "Once" by Caleb Kane
... and a couple others for Loki and one or two specific ones for Spock, but I don't have my iPod on me atm.
What are YOUR Spock/Loki songs?
Re: ~
Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang
Sail to me
Sail to me
Let me enfold you
Here I am
Here I am
Waiting to hold you
Weakerthans - My Favourite Chords
We've got a lot of time. Or maybe we don't, but I'd like to think so, so let me pretend.
Essex Green - Don't Know Why (You Stay)
Stepping along the hum of the sidewalk
A marionette, a slave
Your legs are wood and tied to the city
Who has final say
Speck - Conventional Lover
Let me be your conventional lover
Let me give you my conventional love
I'll give you my heart, I'll treat you nice (ooh love long and prosper)
And the games that I play only have twenty-sided dice
