Thor feels like he has absolutely no idea how to deal with Loki. He wants, more than anything, for Loki to stop buggering off down this STUPID GENOCIDAL PATH because Loki is smarter than that! Thor has always had a really great admiration for Loki's wits because that's not a strength of his, so he really doesn't quite know why someone like Loki would continually make such bad choices. Especially when Loki clearly seemed to know when THOR was making bad choices, even if he didn't say so. And he does still love him and consider him his brother, regardless of what race he is. THOR DUN CURR.

But! While he could forgive Loki's actions in Asgard, born out of shock/betrayal/FEELINGS, at the moment he really can't forgive what Loki did on Earth. He gave Loki multiple chances to stop, tried to convince him of what a bad idea it was, and it was just continually thrown back in his face. More than that, Loki keeps hurting other people, and that's not on. Thor could forgive it a hell of a lot easier if it was just Thor Loki was attacking. Innocent people, no. And when it got to the point where Loki stabbed him on Stark Tower, it was just... no. No, Loki, I am not putting up with your shit, no matter how much I desperately want you back. So Thor will keep trying, but he WILL draw a line, and he will make damn sure Loki knows where that line is. He won't hesitate to throw him into the floor again if he is endangering other people.

So ultimately he is really torn on the issue. He won't back down from the idea that Loki needs to serve a sentence back on Asgard (or at least somewhere), but he won't shut the door on reconciliation - if Loki works for it. He doesn't necessarily understand even half of what Loki's problem is, but damn he'll try.

Thor actually does die, clone dies, no new one comes through: what do?

Your take on Loki's relationship with the Jatauri (or however the aliens are spelled)? I got the impression from the film that Loki was kind of in over his head with them.

I suspect that Loki finally fell in with the chitauri and is, in fact, scared shitless of Thanos. So he basically stayed with them and did a lot of weedling until Thanos felt he had some entertainment value. He knew he was being used, that much is clear, what else can you do? He had no where to go and nothing else to strive for, except being King.
